Step-by-Step Procedure to Apply for a Temporary Visa in Canada

A temporary visa is also referred to as a temporary resident visa (TRV) or entry visa. It enables you to enter Canada temporarily while you can study in Canada on a work visa. You need a a-exempt country, an electronic travel temporary Canada visa if you reside in a visa-required country. However, if you are a citizen of a visuthorization (ETA) is all that you require.


1. The process of TRV

A temporary visa or TRV is not required once you enter Canada. But it is recommended to always carry a TRV with you in case of an unexpected journey abroad. It is imperative because applying for a TRV outside Canada can take a long time, and you may not reach Canada in time. 
If you have applied for a study or post-graduation work permit, you need not apply for TRV separately, as it will be issued to you along with the study or work permit.
If you want to extend your study permit or PGWP, you have to wait to receive a new study permit. After that, you can apply for the TRV from Canada.

2. Create your documents

There are broadly two ways through which you can apply for a Temporary Canada visit: 

• Online 
• Offline 

Online
Create an account on the IRCC website to apply for a visa online. After completing the registration process, you must complete the questions. Next comes the document checklist named title page. This page will tell about your necessary documents checklist.

Offline
If you want to apply offline, you must first find the required documents.

3. Collect all your documents

You need the following documents to apply for a TRV if you are a student:-

• Your education transcript 
• Study permit or work permit in Canada 
• Proof of financial support 
• Passport and digital photo You might need some documents other than the ones mentioned here in case of specific circumstances. These documents include medical examination, application for temporary residence, etc.

4. Fill out the application form

The application form plays a crucial role in the acceptance/rejection of your application. So, don’t give any wrong information in the application form. Below are three steps that will help you in a lot of ways. 

• Always download the newest form 
Since IRCC keep updating the visitor visa application form, ensure you download the latest one.

• Review the application form 
After this, review the entered information to ensure you haven’t committed any mistakes. 

• Validate the application
form Once you finish filling and reviewing the form, click on the validate button. It will highlight the information that you forgot to enter. After validation, you can edit the entered information as much as you require. But do not forget to save and upload the finalized form.

5. Get your TRV

You must submit your passport to receive your TRV. Your passport will be returned to you once verified by the relevant authorities. But to ensure a safe return - Buy two envelopes (Xpresspost Prepaid), write your address on one envelope, and put it inside the other. 
If you follow all the steps mentioned in this guide, you will soon be able to get a Canadian Temporary Visa without any hassle.
